Legislative Visits: Second Chance Day on the Hill

The most impactful way for you to influence the policies that impact you and those you care about is by meeting with your legislators. Second Chance Coalition members can help you connect with your legislator about the second chance issues you care about.

In 2021, we're proud to advance four legislative priorities: end youth life without parole, prosecutor initiated re-sentencing, reduce the impact of fines and fees, and primary caregiver consideration. As in past years, we also support efforts to restore the vote, for pardon board reform, and for felony murder law reform.

Join us for the virtual rally from 12pm-1pm on February 23rd. Then, join us for virtual visits with your legislators either February 23 or 24th. Your specific visit times depend on the availability of your representative and senator on Feb 23 or 24. MNSCC will schedule one visit with each, and be back in touch with your visit schedule and answer any questions you have. Visits will take place over Zoom, and last around 20 minutes.
